As some of you know, editor Robbie Rhodes plays piano in a band
specializing in traditional, or Old Style Dixieland Jazz.  The
band has been together for a long time and has produced many LPs,
cassettes, and CDs.

I'm pleased to announce that I've struck a deal to sell their
products on-line, with the proceeds going in part to support the
band, and in part to support the Mechanical Music Digest.

With Robbie's help, I've put together a set of web pages which
allow visitors to inspect the album covers, read about each album,
and to order them on-line if they want to.

Having now coded my first "shopping cart" application for the Web,
I have a lot of appreciation for how difficult the task is.  We've
provided a secure way for sending credit card data over the net for
those who want to order on-line.  After we get some more experience
with the shopping cart portion of the project, I'll make some
improvements and then retrofit our on-line Live Performance catalog
with the same features, including adding artwork.

I have been authorized to put RealAudio clips of the tunes onto the
South Frisco Jazz Band products page.  I will try to get one clip
up tonight as a demo.  Others will appear soon, so please visit the
