Replacing Bridle Straps
By Michael Concordia

To Rick Inzero: At the risk of getting blown out by the 'fix it to
original specs or be damned' crowd, I found that those spring-clip
bridle straps worked fine. These can be purchased from any piano
supply place -- Player Piano Co. in Wichita had them the last time
I looked.

These are installed after you carefully cut away the old straps from
where they are glued to the dowel. They only require a modicum of
manual dexterity to install in my opinion, certainly no more than
trying to glue a patch onto an existing strap. However, I would
suggest that you do the whole set since they are probably all about
to fall apart.
