Lindbergh Songs on Piano Rolls
By Dan Brown

Dear MMDers: I have sought Lindbergh rolls for years and 'Lucky Lindy'
is my favorite. The best of 8 versions I have on rolls is the Ampico
208941-E, played by Vincent Lopez (probably Adam Carroll). Other Lindy
titles include 'Lindbergh The Eagle of the USA', 'Chamberlin and
Lindy', 'Colonel Lindbergh March' and 'Captain Lindbergh March' (the
same piece, but the title changed as his rank did), and 'Like An Angel
He Flew Into Everyones Heart'. The Ampico 'Lucky Lindy' was recut
years ago by Klavier.
