Ampico Boesendorfer Grand
By Juergen Hocker

[ Jim Edwards and Dan Wilson wrote recently on this topic. ]

Hello Dan, hello Jim, I own an Ampico Boesendorfer Grand and since
more than ten years I give concerts with this instrument all over
Europe -- from Sweden to Italy and from Poland to Paris.

This wonderful instrument has two different hammer rails: one for
the conventional classical music and a hammer rail with extremely hard
hammers for the exciting compositions for player piano, written by
Conlon Nancarrow, Gyorgy Ligeti, James Tenney and others. I think that
only four or five instruments were built or survived.

Does anyone know about the existence of other Ampico Boesendorfers??

Juergen Hocker, Germany
