Introduction
By Ricky Diggs

Jody, This is Ricky Diggs at Custom Woodworking. Thank you for
sending me the MMD daily, I have really enjoyed it.

I have been restoring European antique furniture for 17 years, and
automatic music instruments for about the last seven of those years
(working the last 12 years for myself).

A friend and client of mine, Larry Greenfield, made me aware of MMD.
He said I should try and see what is out there in my line of expertise.
I am a master carver and craftsman able to reproduce ANY missing parts
(galleries, finials, doors, veneer, complete cabinets, etc.) all from
just a photo, drawing or existing originals.

Also a custom finisher, doing open or closed pore finishes, hand-
rubbed shellac finish, oil finish, faux finish, lacquer finish. Color
matching is my specialty. I have a long list of MBSI members as
clients that I could make available for references (all in So.
California where I live).

I am very new in the computer age -- I have only worked with my
computer for six months -- but I know this is the wave of the future
and a great tool for communicating to the outside world, outside my
little shop, that is.

So my question to you is: How is the best way to inform your readers
at MMD that I am here, and that I would like to work with clients
outside California? I know there is 49 other states, and that's a lot
of music boxes !

Thank you very much for your time, hope to hear from you soon.

[ Welcome, Ricky -- you just found the right way to tell folks all
[ around the world of your services! I'll mention also that you told
[ Jody you have done work for MBSI folks such as replicating carvings
[ on music boxes, grinder organs, clocks and orchestrions, and have
[ also designed and built hand-crafted artistic carts for displaying
[ and rolling grinder organs. I hope you meet old friends and make
[ new friends now with MMD! -- Robbie
