Introduction & Coinola Reproduco
By Tony Marsico

My name is Tony Marsico and I have been a restorer for 25 years.
I am originally from Pittsburgh PA and came down to be the head piano
technician for a now defunct piano company here in Charlotte, North
Carolina. I worked for two pipe organ companies making metal pipes
and doing other organ repairs since then.

I have a 2,500 square foot shop in Lincolnton, North Carolina, where
I rebuild just about anything that comes through the door (except
barrel organs).

I have a Coinola Reproduco in the shop for restoration and I'm
wondering if anyone has a way of making the fibre discs that are
part of the top valve seats. I have used fibre valve discs from Organ
Supply drilled out with a cut down Forstener and then threaded with the
right tap (hard to find). These are tedious to make but is as close as
I can get to the original. It doesn't always work though and I need a
material and/or method for doing it that won't drive me crazy. The old
ones were warped as they usually are.

I am also looking for:

48-key Piano Melodico books for the little keyboardless grand piano
with mechanical crank. Customer has only one book for it after it's
restored.

Wurlitzer 13" snare Drum for band organ, possibly a snare beater
action too.

  Seeburg KT Special Bass Drum

Need information about Reproduco Super Junior, to get an idea what
the side cabinet looks like from the side (not the front) so I can
build one for the Super Reproduco I have.

Need to know what happened to complete Welte mechanism that was going
to be for sale some Digests back. Know of one grand and one upright.
Upright has stack and pump but missing the Welte stuff. Does anyone
have a nice set of wood pipes for inside standard Reproduco?

This looks like an interesting group. Stayed up till 3 in the morning
last night reading some of the articles in the old digests. Can
contact me at <tony51@ix.netcom.com>.
