Roll-to-MIDI Transcriptions
By Richard Stibbons

Many thanks to John Roache for posting a few of my MIDI transcriptions.
These are all prototype files some better than others, none perfect.

In the light of experience gained, I'm currently building a high
resolution scanner. That should give me a near perfect image of the
roll and when I reach that point I'll start looking seriously at
expression algorithms. In the meantime, if anyone has any information
or measurements regarding the dynamic response of 'real' reproducing
pianos, that would be a great help.

Thanks
