Piano Movers
By Philip Jamison

The movers Don Teach mentions, Shafer Bros. and Modern, will deliver
anywhere. Keyboard Carriage (502-737-6640) only goes to and from
dealers, but they are cheaper.

I like Gene Sandberg. He's not speedy, but charges less and
understands moving automatic musical instruments.

I actually set up a move with Shafer (a street organ). They didn't
show up. After a terse call, they set up another appointment. A day
or two later, I received a phone call to the effect that "we don't move
stuff that big." This, after I'd given them the dimensions. Afterward,
I did get through to Gene, and he did the job professionally, at 30%
less money. I'm now a believer in patience.
