Seek Photo-player Recordings
By Gabe Della Fave

I am looking for any recordings of photo-players. These instruments
were those extended player pianos/orchestrations which were used to
accompany the silent motion pictures in the period from about 1905
to 1920. They were oblong and low, thus fitting in the orchestra pits
of those days and also they did not obstruct the projection screen.
There used to be thousands of them and today there are very few indeed.

Any referrals to recordings of these instruments will be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you,

Gabe Della Fave
