'PIANOLA AND PIANOLA PIANO MUSIC CATALOG, 65 NOTE' for July, 1910,
published by the Aeolian Company. Hard cover, 482 pages. Size --
5-1/4 by 7-3/4 inches.

Contains a complete list of 65 note Pianola music issued prior to
July 1, 1910 by the Aeolian Company. Does NOT include 'Metrostyle'
rolls. 'Pianola' refers to a push-up piano playing machine, also
called a 'Vorsetzer,' while Pianola Piano means a piano with a
player built into it.

Rolls are listed alphabetically by category -- Classic; Operatic,
Musical Comedy and Popular; Dance; Sacred; Accompaniment; and also
listed alphabetically by Composer. Each roll is listed with its
original catalog number and price. A useful feature is that selec-
tions included in medleys are listed by individual title with a cross
reference to the name of the medley roll.

There are thousands of titles and hundreds of composers listed in
this catalog. 65-note rolls were the original size of piano roll,
preceding the standard 88-note rolls which are now much more commonly
found. Once 88 note rolls became standardized, very few 65-note rolls
were issued, and this occurred about 1915, so this catalog covers the
majority of 65 note rolls made by Aeolian.

Condition -- Very Good; cover has stains and rubs at edges, pages
are yellowed but clean and unmarked. Binding is still pretty strong.
Buyer pays actual shipping cost and may choose either book rate or
priority mail.
