| I have a Gulbransen Model F church organ, which is an early
electronic monster. It has two 61-note manuals and 32 foot pedals.
Just a curiosity question: Were rolls made to "play" an organ?
If so, how commonly are they found for sale, and what is a ballpark
price per roll?
I have nearly finished getting her playable and must plan my next
"all too expensive" (says my wife) project.

[ Yes, rolls were made by Aeolian, Welte, Moller, and Skinner, and
[ surely others. In some cases the stop registration commands on the
[ roll were specific to one particular organ: both the organ _and_
[ the rolls for it were 'custom designs'! I hope our experts will
[ report on this topic, because I hope to find some more organ music
[ to send to Michael Woolf in New Zealand. -- Robbie
