MBSI East Coast Meeting & Rally 14-16 May 1999
By Craig Smith

Keep this date open: May 14, 15, 16, 1999. The East Coast Chapter of
the MBSI will hold an early summer meeting this May near Rochester New
York. Most of the activities will be at the Genesee Country Museum.
This is the 3rd largest open-air historical museum in the country.

You will also have an opportunity to see the new carousel and band
organ at Seabreeze Park and the restored carousel and band organ in the
new glass atrium at the Strong Museum. (The Strong Museum atrium also
houses a complete, operating stainless steel 'dining car' diner.) We
hope to have an exhibit of musical boxes in the restored houses and/or
the education center at the museum and band (fair) organs in the great
meadow at the museum.

The official announcement will be in the 'Comb and Bellows' which will
be mailed in a few weeks but I am sending this advanced information so
that those with large instruments (and small) can plan in advance and
hopefully pencil in these dates so they can join us for an interesting
weekend. If you aren't an East Coast member, we'd love to have you
join us if your travel plans can bring you this way - especially if you
live near enough to bring along your favorite band organ. Don't forget
May 14,15, 16th

Regards,
Craig and Kathay Smith
