Organ Pipe from eBay Auction
By Scott Olson

John Kleinbauer wrote about the pipe he bought from eBay:

I have experimented with various shapes of the cut up area and have
found that slanting it gives a little different attack. I have also
botched up a pipe or two, with have irregular shapes to the mouth,
and nonetheless they still speak.

You probably have a totally hand-made pipe, as most of the pipes
(built in pipe shop) today are pretty even and straight, etc. I am
sure the little differences won't matter much as to the way the pipe
speaks. It is interesting to look at them, though, isn't it ?
