Composing the Subject
By Dan Wilson, London

>[ Dan, the subject you suggested yesterday was "Re: 990413 MMDigest",

That was my mailer. 990413 MMD contained the article I was remarking on.

>[ and the subject you gave for this letter was "Re: 990414 MMDigest".

That was my mailer. 990414 MMD contained my response to the article
with your title. I've often put suggested subjects in my posts as well
as the MMD number, but you change them as often as not, so I've tended
to leave it to you now, as it saves effort. There's a down side to
every Editorial privilege !

>[ I know nothing about SM; without an indicative subject I guess as
>[ best I can. I won't try to guess who John is. ;)

What, when the first line in 990414 MMD after:

> Subject: Themodist Rolls Made for Choralion by Hupfeld
was
> In 990413 MMD John Phillips said of his rolls obtained from the UK:

?? As the Scots say, "Och, come away now !" I don't expect you
to clutter up the Digest with this, but I couldn't let that pass !

[ <grin> You know, you _could_ replace the mailers automatic subject
[ phrase with one of your liking. Be assertive! Show your computer
[ who's the boss! ;) I'll probably change it anyhow, but at least
[ I will know what you had in mind. -- Robbie
