Rythmodik, American Piano Control Rolls
By Bryan Cather

Here's a question for those knowledgeable about roll manufacturers. Was
Rythmodik founded by the American Piano Company, or did American buy
the existing company? The reason I ask is because I have a roll that,
for all outward appearances, looks just like the Rythmodik green label
rolls made by American: same label layout, flanges, tab, etc. The
brand, however, is "American Piano Control" All I can figure is that
these were put out by American Piano Company, before they bought (or
founded) Rythmodik. It even says "American Piano Company" at the
bottom of the label. Am I on the right track?
