Music Rolls With The Seal Intact
By Dan Wilson, London

I remember the most expensive roll I ever bought -- at the time, and
possibly even now -- was the Frank Adams AMR recut of Harold Bauer on
Duo-Art playing Schumann's Grosse Sonata Op 11, on one enormous jumbo
roll. I wanted it so badly, I even ordered it twice, by mistake.
And he always sealed his rolls; AMR was that kind of operation.

So now I have a 15-year-old mint recut with the seal intact. Do I keep
it as a relic of AMR to be preserved for all time, or as a prize to be
presented for winning some quiz at my funeral party ? In my case I can
have the seal _and_ the music !
