MIDI Files and PowerRoll Music Files
By Spencer Chase

I have a new web site that is almost like the old one, but there are
some new easy to use, free samples of music files for use with WindPlay
and the PowerRoll.

There are also MIDI files that are emulations of what WindPlay will
do for your MIDI player. The MIDI files will play with just a click.
They can also be saved to your disk drive.

The files for WindPlay will drag and drop right in without having to
worry about extra files that match. You will need WindPlay version 93
or newer. Please let me know if you have any problems.

The URL for the new site is http://nt.mcn.org/spencer/default.htm

The old site will still work and will refer you to the new one. If you
don't get the referral page, click "refresh" when my page comes up on
the old site. It will replace your old cached copy with the new one.
I am very new to this web page stuff and don't know all the tricks yet.

I will be posting new samples about once a week, of music that is
available on CD-ROM now and of music that will be available soon. The
current samples are complete, but the weekly files will be teasers.

Please take notice of the warnings about quality of playback mentioned
on the download page. I have a very good Steinway Duo-Art for compari-
son and am quite fussy. The files are terrific on the Steinway. With
a good sound module and piano sample, the MIDI files are very good.
With something like the default piano of the Windows Media Player, they
are not that great. I haven't tested them on a Disklavier, PianoDisc
or Pianomation because I don't own any. They should be very good.

I would very much like feedback.
