Refusal to Ship Goods Overseas
By John Kleinbauer

Hi All, I see someone from Canada has joined this discussion! The
funny thing is Canada is not overseas but it is the country I was
talking about.

Canada has the nicest people and the most beautiful areas of the world.
On the other hand, Canada's postal service stinks! If this is not
true, then why do so many Canadian companies have their phone numbers
and warehouses here in the states? The answer is clear, to remove the
hassle out of shipping between our two countries.

I would also like to mention the on-line postage meter that people are
talking about. I have yet to get a rate on that meter that matches the
rates at my post office. I raised the price of my book to help cover
these anomalies.

Why don't we bring up "Book Rate" while we're at it! People ask me to
send my book to them that way. When I mention this at my post office
the clerks break out in laughter! My post office is always busy with a
long line. This time of year the line goes out the door. If I lived
in another part of the country with less headaches then maybe I could
handle the hassle of shipping packages overseas. At this time I do
ship my book overseas, but 50% of the time there is a problem.

I feel another aspect of this subject is that we Americans have it all
right within our borders. There is no need to go outside our own
country for something. This could be the reason we feel uneasy
shipping something overseas.

Have a good Holiday!

John Conrad Kleinbauer
