Tuning Organ Reeds
By Pat Whitlock

In response to the posting from Larry Smith wrote in 000112 MMD.
This is our first attempt at repairing a crank organ, so we know
very little about it. We are learning, as we go. We have several
reeds that are not working, so in our fine tuning, we are trying to
fix this problem. After I posted my first message, I did find in the
Archives some articles on checking the air flow, but haven't seen much
on the reed end. We will try to repair the reeds. If that doesn't
work, we will hopefully find replacement reeds.

Any and all helpful hints including where to get reeds, bellows cloth,
etc. will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Pat Whitlock
