Correction of Robert Hope-Jones Article
By D. L. Bullock

Robbie did some editing of my Hope-Jones message in the last MMD
which changed my phrase "whale's teeth stop tabs" to "stop tabs of
whale teeth."

No folks, I do not believe anyone ever made stop tabs out of whales
tooth. The whales teeth style of stop tabs refers to those used on
Wurlitzer horseshoe consoles, which tend to look a lot like the gaping
maw of a whale with all those little colored stop tabs that look like
whales teeth.

D. L. Bullock Piano World St. Louis

[ Thanks for the explanation; that's certainly arcane jargon to me!
