"Rhapsody in Blue" Duo Piano Performance
By Jurgen Goering

Just a week ago I attended a concert by the piano duo Anagnasson and
Kinton, in which they played Rhapsody in Blue. According to them,
Gershwin originally composed this piece for two pianos (he is said to
have had twin Steinway concert grands in his New York penthouse). Both
arrangements for piano and orchestra and (Paul Whiteman's) jazz band
were done by someone else. (I didn't catch the name of the arranger.)

This little tidbit of information may interest a few of you out there.
