Seek Escutcheon Nameplate Fabricator
By Brian Smith

Does anyone know of a company that makes stamped metal nameplates with
raised letters like the escutcheon plates in some pianos? I know this
has been discussed before in the Digest, but I haven't been able to
find a company that does stamping like this.

I am trying to match a mandolin on/off brass escutcheon plate that has
raised letters and the black plated background. If I have to create
the die and stamping machine myself, it will be quite a project. Why
does it seem that things like this were easier to produce back in the
20's?

Any leads would be appreciated.
