By Juergen Hocker

Mechanical Music is still alive -- a great event in Cologne

One of the most important festivals for the music of the 20th century
is the MusikTriennale Cologne from 25th April to 15th of June 2000 with
nearly 150 concerts, i.e., the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New York
Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic,
the Cleveland Orchestra, an so on.

This festival will include three concerts with many original compositions
for player piano, most of them world premiere performances, and will
take place in the Museum fuer Angewandte Kunst in Cologne. The
compositions will be played on an Ampico Boesendorfer grand and an
Ampico Fischer grand. Visit http://www.musiktriennalekoeln.de
