Seek Books on Singing Bird Musical Boxes
By Michael Start

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Dear MMD'ers, Can anyone help me find a copy of a book called
'Mechanische Singvogel' by Peter Schuhknecht? I think it was
published in the early 1980's.

Two things for automata enthusiasts. There is a splendid interactive
model of Cox's famous Silver Swan on the Bowes Castle Museum web site
at http://ris.sunderland/museums It takes a few minutes to download,
but is very effective.

Visitors to London are very welcome each Wednesday and Saturday at
my new automata shop in the historic antique market, Camden Passage N1,
where 'Automatomania' can be found in the Georgian Village.
