Piano Rolls Played On Pipe Organ
By Bruce Clark

A piano is a percussion instrument. An organ is not. 88-note piano
rolls played on an organ? Yes, they play the notes, but the results
are choppy, not very pleasing. An 88-note organ roll is much more
satisfactory. Many pipe organ rolls have stop changes and swell shade
perforations in addition to the notes.
