Spoked Wheels & Height of Street Organ Crank
By Mike Knudsen

My Raffin 31/84 sits on its cart with the crank shaft about two inches
above my navel, or about the level of my elbow with my arm hanging
down. Since I am only 5 feet, 9 inches tall, you may want to scale
it to your body (or whoever's will be cranking it). You want it this
high, even if you have to work harder on the cart design to make it
stable.

One American organ maker contracts his wooden wheels out to an Amish
wheelwright: it's all in a day's work for these people, who still run
on raw horse-power.

Hope this helps.
