Transcribing Piano Rolls to MIDI

Item #1466723544 listed on eBay today is a "hand built electronic
player piano" built by the late Paul Christian.  It plays standard
88-note rolls utilizing an electronic keyboard.  See

If the keyboard had a disk drive, I wonder if it could be used for
scanning rolls?
