Early Rolls by Black Pianists
By Tim Brooks

I am writing a book on early black recording artists (pre-1920), and
would like to include mention of African-American pianists who made
hand played rolls prior to that date.

I have identified only seven.

    1912 - R. Nathaniel Dett, QRS
    1912 - Blind Boone, QRS
    1914 - James Reese Europe, Welte-Mignon
    1914 - Ford Dabney, Welte-Mignon
1915 - Clarence Jones, Wurlitzer Pianola
    1916 - Scott Joplin, Uni-Record, Connorized
    1917 - Eubie Blake, Ampico, Rhythmodik, Artrio-Angelus

Any additions, comments or corrections would be welcome.
