Repair of Mechanical Singing Bird
By Marvin Polan

The trademark mentioned is that of Karl Griesbaum. The company is
still in business and is now owned by Siegfried Wendel. They have
been in business for over 75 years.

They still manufacture "Bird Boxes", "Birds in a cage" and "Whistlers"
(a similar product wherein persons are pictured with their lips pursed,
as if they are whistling while the mechanism whistles a tune).

In this country one of the persons that repairs these instruments
is Moe Goldy of Port St. Lucy, Florida. His E-mail address is
<mgoldy@earthlink.net> .
