176 Note Vs. 116/58 Note Aeolian Organ Players
By Carl Dodrill

Dear Colleagues, Can anyone tell me of any differences which may exist
between the Aeolian 176-note Duo-Art organ player mechanism and the
116/58-note player mechanism beyond the obvious mechanical differences
in the spool box pertaining to the different lengths of the rolls? Are
there other differences in the player mechanism beyond those obvious
differences in the spool box?

Will 116-note pipe organ players also play 58-note rolls without
difficulty even though there is not a "58 note music" draw knob on
the player, as is often found on Aeolian solo Orchestrelles?

Any information that could be provided would be much appreciated.

Carl Dodrill
