A few years back, when I was living in Brisbane, the church I attended
owned an electric piano, a Yamaha Clavinova purchased circa 1989.
I was called upon to play when the regular pianist was away and when
this dear old soul died I played every other week. (That's if you can
call what I do 'playing' -- they were desperate!)
I found it very difficult to get the "feel" of this piano. I could
play at a medium-soft level or LOUD. I could only seem to find these
two volumes without resorting to the volume switch. There was only
two things I liked about this instrument: it would transpose so I could
play everything in F major, and it never needed tuning.
I realise that digital pianos have come a long way since then but
this one fair put me off. Give me a _real_ piano any day, preferably
a player. :)
