MBSI Meeting Hendersonville NC 17-19 May 2002
By Larry Norman

As the Chairman of the Piedmont Chapter of the MBSI (Music Box Society
International), I am extending an open invitation to all, from around
the USA, Canada, and the rest of the world, who always wondered what
the Music Box Society was about, and would like to come and attend our
next Piedmont Chapter meeting in May.

You will get to enjoy some of our famous Southern Hospitality, meet
with wonderful members of the Piedmont chapter, partake in some
delicious food, hear some fine Southern entertainment, and see and
listen to some wonderful music machines. This will give you a chance
to learn what the MBSI is about. If you always wanted to know, this is
your golden opportunity to get all your questions answered. Who knows?
You may be so impressed, that you might want to join both the MBSI and
our Piedmont Chapter! We will be delighted to have you become a
member.

Our next meeting is in beautiful Hendersonville, North Carolina, over
the weekend of May 17th through May 19th. You will be able to see some
wonderful collections of music boxes and machines, ranging from player
pianos, nickelodeons, music boxes, and clocks to a porcelain pig
collection! Hendersonville has some great antique shops. The Carl
Sandburg home is here, there is a gem and mineral museum, a model
railroad museum, the Johnson Historical Farm, an airplane museum and
other great things to see.

This is springtime and what a perfect time to take a vacation. The
spring flowers will be at their peak. Travel through Virginia on the
Skyline drive, see Shenandoah National Park and travel down the famous
Blue Ridge Parkway all the way to Hendersonville for the meeting. Then
visit the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC, and then continue traveling
on the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
Doesn't it sound great?

The Mid AM Chapter of MBSI has the motto: "We have more fun". There
is no disputing that at all, as I have attended many fun meetings with
that chapter. Well, here at the Piedmont chapter, "We have Southern
Hospitality" Now, you just cannot beat Southern Hospitality! Ya all
come on down now and try some of our gracious Southern Hospitality!
Ya hear?

If I have sparked your interest, get your vacation in order, and simply
send me an email at <rollertunes@earthlink.net> and I will give you the
details and directions to get there. We all look forward to seeing
You All!

Musically Yours
Larry Norman - In the Heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia
