Gender Ambiguous Given Names

D. L. Bullock wrote in wrote in 020704 MMDigest, "For decades
I got mail addressed to Ms. Lynn ...", and Jody commented,
"Nonetheless, all junk mail I get, and much computer generated
mail from origins that should know better, is addressed to me
as Ms.  I'm a guy."

That's nothing.  I remember a friend of mine receiving something
in the mail addressed to "Mr Annette Hill"!  Go figure...
