Excess of Player Pianos in UK
By David Evans

Steven Simpson asks about player pianos in the UK, and would like
a cheap one in working order.

The point is really that they are only going to be in working order
now if they have been re-built fairly recently, and a rebuilt one is
not cheap due to the costs involved. We buy them for anything from
GBPounds 15 upwards, but then we spend hundreds of hours rebuilding
them, so the sale price has to be in the GBP 1000's.

You _might_ be able to find one that was rebuilt about 20 years ago,
that still works reasonably and might be reasonably priced, but it is
a matter of luck.

Best wishes from UK.

David Evans
