Perfection Music Box Company of New Jersey
By Eliyahu Shahar

Christopher, You have a very rare musical box. The Perfection was
introduced with the unique feature that the star wheel also contains
the dampers, built inside. The damper of this music box is a piece
of felt that is wedged in-between two metal stars -- the star wheel.

The company didn't make very many boxes and the dampers often didn't
last, so most of those that were made have been disposed of through
the years. It would be interesting to see a picture.

You can read more about this musical box in Ord-Hume's "The Musical
Box" and possibly in Graham Webb's "The Disc Musical Box Handbook".
