Locating Leaks in Ampico Player System
By Bruce Clark

There can be thousands of leaks in a player mechanism, and installing
new hoses equates to putting new tires on an old car that has been
sitting in a garage for 70 years and wondering why the car will not
start or perform properly.

Each and every part of a player requires skilled restoration and
testing for leaks. The average person cannot perform these techniques
without supervision of an expert. For a novice to stumble along trying
to make a player work, usually results in irreversible damage to the
instrument. My advice is to either hire a specialist to do the work,
or hire a specialist who will direct and supervise your work.
