Carousel Organ at Six Flags Park, Agawam, MA
By Jeff Bridges

Hello everyone! I recently went to Six Flags New England, in Agawam,
Massachusetts. When I was there on Saturday, July 5th, I discovered
that the carousel band organ that was playing at the beginning of the
season wasn't there.

I went to the office and asked them about it; the main person I spoke
with called the main headquarters and asked about it for me. He had
assured me that it was being restored and will be playing again very
soon.

In the meantime the carousel had fake music playing. Last year there
was no music whatsoever! I was given a business card with an address
on it to write any correspondence about the organ. I am going to keep
a close eye on Six Flags to make sure that the 200-year-old organ plays
again at that carousel!

I also told the gentleman that I was associated with MMD and what we
are all about. He was amazed at the fact that some people really cared
about such an organ.

If you are located in the New England area and visit Six Flags, go to
the customer relations building and keep asking about the progress of
the organ. We as a group have to save such an organ! If I see it
running again at the Illians carousel I will take a lot of pictures,
get recordings of the music, and try to make a video of the workings
for everyone here to see it.

God speed, everyone, and keep the music alive!

Sincerely, Jeff Bridges
