"Easy To Pump" Player Piano
By Eliyahu Shahar

[ Re: Foot Pumped Aeolian Weber Grand

Just a note to respond to Bill Maguire's comments: When I call a foot
pumper "easy to pump", I believe that most of the consumers would call
it hard to pump. I think that easy to pump is a misnomer, as the
easier it is to pump, the harder it really seems to be, just that the
pumping does more and gives you more control over the results.

The consumer's easy-to-pump pumper piano is one where you can push the
pedals with no resistance, but have to do quickly to get anything out
of the player.

What about talking about pumper efficiency or tight action instead of
"easy to pump"?

My 2 cents.

Eliyahu Shahar (who hasn't pumped a pumper for 15 years)

[ to the feel and learning to pump smoothly, do you find it more
[ more responsive and controllable? -- Robbie
