Piano Roll Mart in Minneapolis 27 March 2004
By Ed Copeland

I want to let everyone know of this event that is coming up in a few
weeks here in Minneapolis, Minnesota:

Forth-Annual Piano Roll Flea Market and Movie Event
  Saturday, March 27, 2004

  Piano Roll Flea Market
  8:30 am to 12:30 pm
  2715 Fourth St SE, Minneapolis
  tel.: 612/378-1102

Last year there were seven vendors selling hundreds of used piano
rolls. We are expecting more participants this year. Donuts, hot
dogs, coffee and pop will be served. In addition to the used piano
rolls, new rolls, new and used player pianos, roll cabinets, sheet
music, and piano benches will be available. If you have other music
related or antique items to sell, please fell free to join us. If you
would like to reserve a table ($10 per table or $5 per half table),
contact Barton Player Piano by March 25.

  Movie event, 1:00 PM
  The Historic Heights Theater
3951 Central Avenue NE, Columbia Heights, MN
  tel.: 763/788-9079

Barton Player Piano Co. will sponsor a movie event at the Historic
Heights Theater in Columbia Heights. There will be a short "You Asked
For It" documentary on the manufacturing process of player piano rolls,
followed by the Marx Brothers "A Night At The Opera" and a silent film
short with organ accompaniment on the mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ.
There is a suggested donation of $5. All proceeds go to the Land O'
Lakes Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society, for the continuing
restoration of the Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ. The Heights Theater
is located at 3951 Central Avenue NE, in Columbia Heights, and the
phone number is 763/788-9079.
