Internet Fraud
By Jeff Bridges

Hi everyone. I have been sitting back and reading all the ideas and
postings about internet fraud. Why not fraud the fraud?! Since I
am very computer savvy I try to crack the web site and find out where
the info is going. then I email the person and tell them that they
are busted by the FBI and that we will be arresting them. Or I just
subscribe them to every porn site I can find. Or just submit their
email to every known publication that sends out spam emailing. But, if
I just want to bust them I have their email account deleted. I usually
get a nasty email from them (can't spell or speak English correctly)
before they get deleted from their email account.

as for eBay fraud, I sell a lot on eBay (pcsurplus2004) and I came
across this one email from someone that was going to send me a large
check for a laptop. they wanted me to end the auction that moment.
I told them they would have to send the check first. Well, I played
along since I knew it was fraud. After playing with the guy for about
a week I think he lost interest after I told him that I was going to
keep the money and not send him any back! Never heard from him again.
I did report him to eBay.

If you get a suspicious email don't, and I mean _don't_ click on the
link at all. It contains a Java runtime program that infects your
computer with a spy program and starts to collect information about
every keystroke you type into your computer. There are even programs
out there for hackers that can take control of your computer and mess
with your computer. No spyware or anti-virus program will detect it
either. You would have to run a special program to find it and delete
it. So be careful!

Well, I have put my 2 cents in. Take care everyone and keep those
players running!

Sincerely, Jeff Bridges
