Converting Audio to MIDI
By Mike Ryan

Greetings -- This responds to John Farrell's posting on converting
audio to midi. Here is a link to an interesting article about recent
developments in this endeavor:
  http://www.pragmaticprogrammer.com/articles/zenph/index.html

Also see http://www.zenph.com/recording.html. Zenph Studios reportedly
takes old recordings, converts them to midi files and then re-records
them using a Disklavier for playback. Unfortunately, no samples are
posted.

I visited John's web site today. I had forgotten how excellent it is.

Regards
Mike Ryan
