Best Rubber-to-metal Glue?
By Bill Sharkey

I am going to put new rubber mats on the pedals of a Standard Action
player piano. What is the best type of glue to use? I originally
thought that the brass frame on the pedal helped hold the mat in place.
But I see that's not true; the mat is just glued inside the frame. It
looks like hot crystal glue was originally used, but I'd be afraid that
the pedal mat would just pop off after a while.

By the way, with regard to my last posting about cosmetic detail: I
polished the pedal linkage. What a big difference in appearance!
