MBSI Video "Marvels of Mechanical Music"
By Frank Metzger

Dear MMDrs: Some time ago (MMD Issue of 2004.10.07) I told you about
the video, "Marvels of Mechanical Music", professionally produced by
the Musical Box Society International (MBSI), running 48 minutes and
available both in DVD and VHS format.

I am glad to say that sales of the video have progressed nicely and
we have had many favorable comments on both the content and the
photography/audio of the video.

The film, directed and edited by Hayden Grooms, an MBSI member and
professional video maker/editor, documents the origins of mechanical
music instruments, tells how they are collected today and why they
are an important part of history before the advent of recorded music.
Furthermore, you get to see and hear many of these instruments that
are in private collections not usually accessible to the public.

A short excerpt of the film may be seen on Hayden Grooms' web site,
http://www.Haydengrooms.com/ Click on "Demo" and then "click here to
view Hayden editing demo." The MBSI excerpt is at about 1:50 into his
video.

The MBSI Board of Trustees has decided to offer to all MMDrs the
opportunity to purchase this video in either DVD or VHS format, at a
special discount price utilizing the coupon code found at the end of
this message. This code is good for two weeks only (expires 07/15/05)
and will allow you to purchase the video, postpaid in the U.S. for
