Ecsaine Synthetic Suede for Pianos
By Jurgen Goering

I have obtained some samples of Ecsaine and I am in the process of
negotiating with the producer to purchase a reasonable amount for
distribution to piano technicians for replacement of buckskin in
piano actions. It seems to be a superb alternate choice for those
applications. I have not tested its suitability for pneumatic
gaskets or valves as of yet.

If I succeed in buying this material for re-sale, it will be offered
through my piano technicians supply company, Piano Forte Supply,
along with other specialty felts, materials and tools that I import
from Europe.

If Ecsaine becomes available, I will let MMD know and I will happily
send out samples for testing.
