Unknown 6-tune Interchangeable Cylinder Musical Box
By Sharon Gordon

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I own a cylinder music box that was imported into England in 1871.
It has six cylinders, each cylinder containing six melodies. The tune
listings for each cylinder are embossed with references to the Paris
Exposition of 1869. There is a number inscribed on the mechanism of
18049. The mechanism is housed in a walnut veneered case and mounted
on a walnut veneered table. Looking for ideas and suggestions as to
how to trace the maker. Help!
