Ampico Christmas Roll "Merry Christmas 1923"
By Bruce Clark

Last night I was playing an old Ampico Christmas roll, no. 4760,
"Merry Christmas 1923". The titles on the roll label:

1. Adeste Fideles
2. O Holy Night
3. O Tannenbaum

Number 2 is not "O Holy Night", it is "Silent Night".

This reminds me of a humorous story. When I was about six years old,
my mother heard me singing this version: "Silent Night, Halloween
Night." Mom laughed so over this, and to this day, I think of my
version whenever I hear Silent Night.
