| The web presence of News Documentary Corp. is very slim. Any production
company really in the media business would have a great deal more to
show. The idea that they are selling tee shirts and stuff and only
have this site promoting video production is bizarre.
No Seattle, Washington, presence is shown in any documentation at the
Washington Secretary of State business listings for resale number for
corporation registration.
On the other hand, at the Illinois Secretary of State found at
http://www.ilsos.gov/corporatellc/CorporateLlcController we have this
listing:
Entity Name NEWS DOCUMENTARY CORPORATION, INC.
  File Number 63061662
  Status DISSOLVED
  Entity Type CORPORATION
  Type of Corp DOMESTIC BCA
  Incorporation Date (Domestic) 08/22/2003
  State ILLINOIS
Agent Name NATIONAL REGISTERED AGENTS INC
  Agent Change Date 05/24/2004
Agent Street Address 200 WEST ADAMS STREET
  President Name & Address JEFFREY CLEMENIC 17 W 330 91ST STREET
    HINSDALE 60527
  Agent City CHICAGO
  Secretary Name & Address
  INVOLUNTARY DISSOLUTION 01 02 07
  Agent Zip 60606
  Duration Date PERPETUAL
Annual Report Filing Date 00/00/0000 For Year 2006
Note that there was no annual report filed, a condition for
maintaining a corporation, and that involuntary dissolution means that
the corporation was dissolved by the Secretary of State, not by the
incorporator. It is not a good sign to maintain web sites and offer
goods for sale from such a [legal] position.
There is no mailing address 17W330 91st Street, zip 60527. It is not
even in the Hinsdale part of that zip code, but is in Willowbrook,
Illinois. There are no buildings on that side of the street and the
post office shows the entire half mile empty. There are a few houses
across the street. The post office says that the mailing address is
invalid and that 17W331 and others across the street cannot have mail
delivered.
I have found nothing like Jeffrey Clemenic anywhere.
The web registration address of NDC, Inc., P.O. BOX 5083, OAK BROOK, IL
60522-5083 is credible enough, as there is such a post office with that
box number. I see no web presence for that box number.
The percentage of people who would not miss $20 and collect high end
watches, horological pornography or major mechanical music is very high.
Much nicer sites will happily take much larger sums of money from
people who are unlikely to complain to their local police (where the
first report must be made for recovery) so it would not surprise me
that this scam could be an ongoing thing. If each person makes a
reasonable effort to recover their payment and sends complaints to
their local police with a copy to PayPal it is likely that some action
will be made on their behalf.
All the best,
Karl Petersen
