Small Street Organs Made in New York
By Vincent Morgan

A friend called me about two unusual small street organs that he
recently acquired. Both were made in New York. One was built by
Benedetto Lagomarseno and is a reed organ believed to have been built
sometime before 1880.

The second organ was built by H. S. Taylor and has the inscription
Chatham St., 66 & New Bowry, New York. Inside is a piece of newspaper
that was used as a seal on one pneumatic, which is dated Aug. 8, 1867.
Any information about these organ builders will be helpful.
