Children and Mechanical Music
By Pat DeWitt

Hi All... Some years ago I restored a couple of 88-note "pumper"
players in my garage in the summer time. When the pianos were done
I opened the garage door and the playing attracted the neighbor kids,
so I let them "test" the newly completed pianos.

They really got a kick out of playing "William Tell Overture". I had
a nearly "bullet proof" 88-note version on that greenish heavy duty
meat wrapper paper, and the roll got plenty of use.

So, the kids are where you find them and we all had fun in the process!
