Shipping a Piano from New Zealand
By Andy Taylor

I need an upright piano shipped from Manawatu, New Zealand, to the
Chicago, Illinois, area (or at least to the States). Since all the
instruments I have dealt with have been within the United States,
I do not know how to proceed.

I do know the piano will have to be crated and transported by
a ship. This is not time sensitive. If anyone has shipped a piano
internationally I would like to hear from you. Information on either
end would be most appreciated.

The piano is of a 1913 vintage, and I would estimate weighs about 600
pounds. Will there be any Customs issues with the ivory keytops?

Thanks in advance,
Andy Taylor - Tempola Music Rolls
